Termination of Services and Complaint Procedures

At HEAL Center for Counseling and Complementary Health, LLC (HEAL CCC), our goal is to provide ethical, compassionate, and effective care throughout the therapeutic relationship. While most treatment relationships conclude collaboratively, there may be circumstances in which either you or your provider decide that services should end.

Your Right to End Treatment

You have the right to discontinue treatment at any time. Whenever possible, we encourage clients to discuss their decision with their therapist so that progress can be reviewed, questions can be addressed, and recommendations for ongoing care or community resources can be provided if desired.

When HEAL CCC May End Services

HEAL CCC may terminate services when it is clinically, ethically, or legally appropriate to do so. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

  • Repeated missed appointments or failure to participate in treatment.
  • Nonpayment or unresolved financial obligations.
  • Treatment is no longer clinically indicated or has achieved its goals.
  • Your needs are outside the provider’s scope of practice or level of expertise.
  • A higher level of care is recommended.
  • Behavior that threatens the safety of the provider, staff, or others, or significantly interferes with the therapeutic process.
  • Other circumstances in which continuing treatment would be unethical or inconsistent with applicable laws or professional standards.

Whenever clinically appropriate, HEAL CCC will discuss the reasons for termination with you and provide referrals to alternative providers or community resources to help support continuity of care.
